The members of the firm regularly practice in all of the U.S. district courts of Louisiana. Allen L. Smith, Jr. and James R. Nieset are qualified to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Beaumont Division. Matthew Keating is also licensed and admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas.

Allen Smith, also a graduate petroleum engineer, is frequently associated in the defense of complex and technical oil field litigation in Louisiana and other oil producing states around the country involving both personal injury and property damage claims (downhole, reservoir, and geophysical).
